Veritas Beam Compass

Ordinary compasses don't usually meet the requirements of a woodworking shop. A beam compass (or trammel) is much more practical.Using a single beam section; Veritas' beam compass handles circles from 38mm to 600mm in diameter. Additional sections allow you to extend it to a full diameter of 2 metres when measuring tables; rockers; arches; etc.It has carbide tipped pins that readily scribe metal as well as wood; although a pencil head is usually used for scribing wood. A micro-adjustment feature gives you a quick; easy and accurate setting. All of this comes in a handsome wooden case that also includes a small brass centre pivot disc for use when it's important not to mark your workpiece.
