Knots & Grains is a small family run business that pride ourselves on quality rustic furniture made from reclaimed wood. We make use of timber and other resources that are destined for landfill, contributing as best we can in the battle against the throw away society that we find ourselves living in.
We are a small family on the Gold Coast making our dreams a reality, one piece of furniture at a time. We have been creating a lot of reception desks recently, for psychology practices, to hair salons, to yoga studios, as well as cafe and household furniture.... We do it all!

I’m not really a normal kind of furniture maker who makes lots of the same thing en masse. There is no formula, no system, no undiscovered genius. There is just an accumulation of experience and experimentation coupled with interest, hard work and pride. Giving me a call because you’ve found a pile of wood is worth a lot to me - it allows me to make more furniture. I invest myself into my work. It’s what makes it look like it looks.

My home and shed are nestled in a beautiful breezy seaside town of Dongara south of Geraldton along the W.A Batavia coast.
I take inspiration from rustic, old and nature all around. I love being able to repurpose/upcycle to create unique functional rustic pieces of art.
When I have a vision I create it......... constantly short circuiting my mind with different and new ideas, using recycled and touches of quirky new!!!!
It keeps my soul happy and able to fill each unique piece with love and a sprinkle of "Annieism" to make your house a home!!
