Work safer. Work smarter. These splitters are green, identifying them for thin kerf blades, 3.0mm to 3.2mm.
Safety should always the number one thought as a woodworker commences any work. Sometimes the removing the riving knife is required for cutting trenches, rebates and shallow cuts where the riving knife would get in the way. This has always been a risky practice until the MicroJig Splitters came along.
Used by woodworkers around the world, the MicroJig Splitters are positioned so one is in the same plane as one side of the blade, and the other is in the same plane as the other side of the blade. The splitters are tapered, so will not bind on the timber as it is being cut.
When cutting some timber, the gap can close up after the stress has been released. The riving knife would normally keep these parts apart, however when this is removed, there is nothing to do this task.
