Gone are the days of adjusting locking clamps for different thickness materials.

These have been replaced by the Kreg Automaxx clamps, the adjustment knob which is usually positioned at the end of the handle, has been replaced by an automatically adjusting mechanism that is built into the handle. This adjustment can have the pressure required adjusted as well, to give that extra tight grip on something, or that gentler grip on more delicate materials.
