Unlike dovetails; finger joints do not interlock mechanically but their enormous glue surface area makes them as strong as dovetails throughout the life of today's modern adhesives. Leigh's versatile 24inch F3 Finger Joint Template is the most comprehensive and accurate jig of its kind. The F3 produces 11 sizes of square finger joints from 3/32inch (2.38mm) to 1/2inch (12.7mm) and the F3 can also produce three sizes of square half-blind finger joints.The F3 Template has three comb sizes: 5/16inch (7.9mm); 3/8inch (9.5mm) and 1/2inch (12.7mm).
