The Leigh FMT jig does a great job at cutting mortices and tenons parallel with the jig, however sometimes joints need to be cut at 90° to this. The “Y” axis templates make this possible.
The Y-Axis mortise guide produces six sizes of mortises: 1/4"x 3/8", 1/4"x 1/2", 1/4"x 3/4", 5/16"x 1/2", 5/16"x 3/4" and 1/2"x 1".
By adjusting the jig limit stops and different router bits, longer joints can be achieved.
