Pfeil Number 1S chisels are a straight edged carving chisel with bevel ground on both the front and back of the blade at a slight skew angle, this skew angle gives more of a slicing action so are used without a mallet. The choice of single or double bevel is largely personal preference.
Swiss made Pfeil chisels come sharpened and are completely ready for use. They are constructed with chrome vanadium alloy that is made to Pfeil's own specifications.
