Fitted into the headstock of the lathe, the Robert Sorby Stebcentre holds the workpiece safely and securely.
There are several points of contact around the outside of the steb centre rather than the standard 4 aggressive teeth that other drive centres traditionally have which can cause splitting. The spring loaded centre allows the tail stock to be backed off slightly, while still having the workpiece still engaged, this allows the user to view the job without removing it completely.
It is a necessary addition to all woodturning kits for both seasoned experienced turners and novices.
