Carbatec's Wood Thread Box provides the tools to cut and tap the matching threads into timber, to give what is essentially a timber “nut and bolt”. These give a nice decorative result in timber, using a two-step process. Like thread cutting in metal, the process is simpler with some lubrication. Simply wet the timber using oil or water.
Available also in sizes of 1/2", 3/4", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2".
