The Work Sharp System 3000 Tool Sharpener is the compact way to sharpen your chisels, whether they be flat bench chisels, plane irons to curved carving chisels and turning chisels, so can be used by a wide range of woodworkers no matter their preferred type of projects.
It works dry, using a heatsink to circulate cool air over the cutting edge, reducing the chance of overheating the tool. The Innovative Slotted Wheel allows the edge being sharpened to be seen rather than watching the back of the blade as other methods use. A powerful 150 Watt motor turns the sharpening wheel to maximum speed of 580 RPM allowing the sharpening process to be seen through the gaps.
The ease of change between discs is important, simply peal one off and replace it with a finer grit disc to be able to continue the sharpening process. Discs are adhered to the tempered glass wheels, which will not warp with use or heat.
Sharpening chisels and plane blades up to 50mm / 2” wide to a perfect 20°, 25°, 30° or 35° bevel angle is as simple as selecting the angle, and sliding to the chisel into the ! Unlike other methods, there are no jigs that attach at a certain position on along the length of the blade, this removes the need to spend time setting these jigs into the right position. The chisel sits on a lapping abrasive that removes the burr that is created by the sharpening process. It also allows you to sharpen a perfect 5 degrees micro-bevel for even faster re-honing.
