Cyclone Dust Collectors run at significantly lower CFM than their equivalent standard dust collector, but with a higher static pressure and consistent CFM.
The main advantages of two stage cyclone collectors is their ability to extract and capture large particles and chips before they reach the machine's impellers and filtration. Two stage filtration's cyclonic action collects larger chips or shavings directly from your machine or dust extraction system, depositing them into the main collection bin. Smaller particles or dust then passes through to the 1 micron pleated filter. The dust particles are then captured in this filter and any that remain are collected in a convenient clear plastic bag that is easily removed and emptied as needed.
This method of dust collection is far superior to that of standard dust collectors which try to filter everything in a single stage and tend to clog up, reducing efficiency as a result.
