This beautiful Lily lamp was power carved using green wood leftover from a tree trimming at the Arbortech headquarters.

Kevin Inkster shows you how to achieve certain design elements and finishes with Arbortech tools, as well as how to achieve functional aspects such as how to bore the wood to fit the light globe.

We used a variety of Arbortech tools to carve the Lily shape and we picked up a lamp base from Kmart, you can get a lamp base from a variety of homeware stores.

Tools used include:

• TURBO Plane – Initial debarking, planing and sculpting
• TURBO Shaft – Internal hollowing and boring
• Mini Grinder – detailing & aggressive sanding
• Contour Sander – finishing sanding
